Examining Money Making Ideas
Money making ideas should begin with examining your inherent talents. What are you good at? Are you an idea person? Are you a creative crafty person? Can you sell snow to Eskimos? Can you motivate people? Take a good look at where your strengths lie and work outward from that point.
Let’s assume, the money making ideas we’re discussing are not related to your regular 9 to 5 opportunities, but rather self-employment opportunities. This makes the playing field much wider and subject only to your individual limitations. As such, where ever you can envision making money is the limit.
Idea people have a very wide range of money making possibilities because they can contribute ideas to any industry that currently exists or ever will exist. Every industry welcomes ideas that add convenience into the lives of the consumer. Ideas like the portable clamping lamp, the free-standing decorative dinner tray, needle threaders, large inflated plastic for safe packaging and free-standing or wall hanging Lucite containers for displaying business literature and business cards, have all added to the convenience of someone. We’ve all seen them on sale in the store. Your ideas could take their rightful place on display in those same stores.
Crafts are another way to make money. There’s wood crafting, fabric crafting and crafting in found objects. You decide what materials you want to use for your unique crafts. Look at the pet rock. Someone decided a plain old river rock with a painted face had appeal and WALA! It did. In 6 months Gary Dahl, the creator of the pet rock earned over $15 million dollars selling rocks for $3.95 each.
Hopefully, you’ll develop an idea that will catch the world on fire similar to the pet rock or the portable clamping lamp. As long as the idea has appeal to the buying public, it has the capacity to be a great selling idea. Marketing your idea or selling your idea is completely dependent on what you design. The club required little promotion, because everyone wanted to keep their car safe from thieves. Your idea may be like the pet rock and need substantial promotion to familiarize the public with the idea. Either type of product has the potential to sell and bring you real profits.
